Know where every text thread stands.
Every text thread with a customer is read for what they asked, what your team promised and where the conversation stopped. Photos count too. You see the threads waiting on a reply without opening each one.
What text intelligence is
Text intelligence is the reading of dealership text conversations as conversations rather than as a list of messages: the customer's intent, the commitments both sides made, the pictures that were sent, and the next step the thread is waiting on. Pinpoint brings texting into the same manager review as calls, with each observation tied to the message it came from and the thread open next to it.
Available today for dealership text conversations, including the pictures customers send and replies a permitted person sends by hand.
How it works
- 01
Threads come in
Your texting platform passes each conversation to Pinpoint through a verified connection, with the messages, the times and the pictures customers sent. The thread arrives attached to the store and the person who owns it, not to a guess about who might have been handling it.
- 02
The thread is read
The whole exchange is read in order, not message by message, so a question asked on Monday and answered on Thursday is still one conversation. Photos of a trade or a payment quote are part of what the thread means, and they stay with it.
- 03
The next step is named
Each thread carries what it is waiting on: a price question nobody answered, a customer who read the last message and went quiet, a time that was floated but never confirmed. The message that raised it is one click away, in the customer's own words.
- 04
A person replies
When a reply is the right move, a permitted person sends it from the thread. The reply is a human decision: Pinpoint does not text your customers, and the composer shows plainly whether sending is turned on for your store at all.
What a manager sees
- A list of threads waiting on a reply from your store.
- The price and availability questions customers asked by text.
- Photos customers sent, kept with the thread they belong to.
- The next step each conversation is waiting on, with the message that set it.
Questions about text intelligence
Can Pinpoint answer texts for us?
Not on its own. A permitted person can send a reply from the thread, and the platform can propose what to say, but no message leaves your store without somebody sending it. Drafted messages that go out on approval belong to the actions and workflows capability, which is on the roadmap.
Does it read the pictures customers send?
Yes. A photo of a trade, a payoff letter or another store's quote is part of the conversation, so it stays with the thread and is available when you open it. Pictures are handled under the same access rules as the rest of the thread, and they are not sent anywhere else.
What does an unanswered thread prove?
It points to a conversation worth opening. It does not establish that the customer went somewhere else, that the deal was lost or that a follow-up was never made by some other route. Somebody may have called them. The flag tells you where to look, and the thread tells you what was actually said.
Are texts and calls joined into one customer?
Only where the source records support it. Calls and texts each arrive with their own identity from the system they came from, and they are not stitched together on a guess about a matching name or number. Joining the whole record for a customer is what CRM intelligence is built to do, and that is on the roadmap.
How far back can I look?
Texts expire thirty days after they arrive, so your review window is the recent past rather than the whole history of the store. Within that window you can search the loaded conversations and filter by what happened in them. If a window is too large to load completely, it says so rather than showing you part of it.
