On the roadmap

Bring email into the same picture.

Email is where quotes, trade numbers and long threads live. This capability is built to read those threads the way calls and texts are read, so a customer's email will be part of one story instead of a separate inbox.

What email intelligence is

Email intelligence is the reading of customer email threads for the same things a call or a text is read for: what the customer asked, what was quoted, what was promised and what the thread is waiting on. Pinpoint has this on its roadmap. Once it is built, an email conversation will join the same customer understanding as the phone and the text thread, with each observation tied to the message it came from.

On the roadmap: email threads are not read today, and call and text intelligence are what is available now.

How it works

  1. 01

    Threads arrive whole

The plan is for a verified mailbox connection to pass each customer thread, with its replies and forwards in order. A thread will arrive attached to the store and to a named owner, so an email that has been forwarded three times still has someone answerable for it.

  2. 02

    The quote is read

Email is where numbers get written down. The thread will be read for the figures that were sent, the vehicle they applied to and the conditions attached, so a manager will see what a customer was actually told without reading the whole chain.

  3. 03

    It joins the customer

An email thread will sit beside the calls and texts for the same customer, so a question answered on the phone and repeated by email will be visible as one conversation. Where the channels disagree about price or availability, the disagreement itself will be worth a manager's attention.

What a manager sees

Evidence, approvals and permissions

This capability is planned, and it is planned to work the way the rest of the layer does. Every observation will link to the message it came from, so a quote can be read in the words it was sent in. The layer will propose and a person will approve. A mailbox will be connected only where the dealership grants it at onboarding, and nothing will be sent or filed outside those permissions.

The AI layer never acts outside the approvals and permissions a dealership configures at onboarding. Inbound voice agents answer only missed calls; outbound calls are drafted by the AI and sent only when a manager approves them.

Questions about email intelligence

Can I use email intelligence today?

No. It is on the roadmap. What is available today is call and text intelligence, with cited investigation across those conversations. When email is added, it is built to join the same review rather than to sit in a separate report, so nothing about how you work would change.

Which email systems will connect?

That belongs to each integration and is not promised here. A connection will need to be verified before any thread is trusted, and the dealership will decide which mailboxes are in scope. Nothing on this page should be read as a statement that a particular email provider is already supported.

Will it read personal inboxes?

No. Only the mailboxes a dealership connects and grants access to would be read, and only for customer threads. Personal mail is not in scope, and the permissions set at onboarding decide who can see a thread once it is there. Access can be narrowed or removed at any time.

What will an email observation not tell me?

It will point to a thread worth reading, nothing more. A quote with no reply does not establish that the customer bought elsewhere, that the deal is dead or that anyone failed to follow up by phone. You read the thread and decide. Observations describe conversations, not outcomes and not revenue.

Will emails be answered automatically?

No. Reading a thread and writing in it are different capabilities. Email intelligence is built to read and to propose. Sending anything on your behalf belongs to approved actions and workflows, where a person approves each message or turns on a routine inside limits the dealership sets, with a receipt for every send.
