Lease-end shopper

A customer whose lease is ending, which puts a date on the decision and makes the options worth explaining.

A lease-end customer has choices with a deadline: return the vehicle, buy it out, or start something new. The date is usually known months in advance, and so is the mileage position and the condition of the vehicle, which means the conversation can be prepared rather than improvised.

They tend to need explanation more than persuasion. Disposition fees, excess mileage, wear charges and the buyout figure are the things people actually worry about, and whoever answers those questions clearly is usually the store that keeps the customer. Bring those numbers to the call rather than promising to look them up later.

Why it matters for a sales manager

A lease ending is one of the few events that gives a store a genuine reason to call, on a schedule you can see in advance. These customers already drive your brand, already know your service department and are going to make a decision whether or not anyone contacts them. Working that list on time is easier than buying leads that match it.
