Rooftop
A single dealership location, used to distinguish one store from the group that may own several.
Rooftop means one physical dealership. A group with nine rooftops runs nine stores, each with its own inventory, staff, phone numbers and often its own franchise agreements.
The term is used when the distinction matters: software licensing, reporting, advertising budgets and manufacturer programs are frequently counted per rooftop rather than per company.
Why it matters for a sales manager
Performance varies widely between rooftops in the same group, even with the same brand and similar traffic. Group-level averages hide that. Looking at phone handling and appointment setting per rooftop is usually where the real differences appear.
