Outbound draft
A message or call prepared by software for a person to review, send or discard before the customer ever sees it.
A draft is proposed work. The system writes the follow-up text for the customer who did not show, or the note answering the question from yesterday’s call, and puts it in front of the rep who owns the relationship. The rep sends it, edits it or throws it away.
Drafting is a lower risk starting point than sending. It keeps a person accountable for every outbound message while removing the blank page, which is the part of follow-up that actually gets skipped when the store is busy. It is also the fastest way to learn whether you would trust the system to send on its own.
Why it matters for a sales manager
Most follow-up that does not happen was never refused, only never written. Drafts turn the third touch into a decision that takes ten seconds instead of a task that takes ten minutes. Reviewing what your team edits is also the best evidence you will get about whether automated messages are ready to go out unattended in your store.
