Meeting booked rate
The share of a defined set of eligible conversations in which the customer agrees to a specific meeting, with the counting rules and period stated.
Use this definition in team training or when clarifying a sales note.
Definition
Meeting booked rate divides eligible conversations with an agreed meeting by all eligible conversations in the stated period. Define the channel and eligibility before counting. Exclude a proposed time or a tentative answer from the numerator, and explain how cancellations, reschedules and repeated conversations with one customer are handled.
This glossary uses appointment set rate for the broader sales-opportunity denominator. Meeting booked rate here is explicitly conversation based. The terms should not be swapped in a report unless the populations and deduplication rules are the same.
Why it matters
A rate without its denominator can appear to improve merely because the review includes fewer difficult conversations. Show the counts and the definition beside the rate. Booking also differs from show rate: an agreed time does not establish that the meeting occurred.
