Word track
A short agreed phrasing for a recurring moment in a conversation, such as asking for the appointment.
A word track is the sentence or two a store agrees on for a specific situation: the appointment ask, the response to a price question on the first call, the reply when a customer says they are just looking. It is not a full script and it is not read aloud.
Good tracks are short enough to remember under pressure and written in language the salesperson would use naturally.
Why it matters for a sales manager
Coaching advice such as be more assertive cannot be practiced or checked. A word track can be said out loud in the office, used on the next call and verified on a recording the following week, which is what makes a change actually stick.
