Appointment on the board

A scheduled visit posted where the whole store can see it, with the time, the customer, the vehicle and who is expecting them.

The board is the shared view of today’s appointments, whether it is a screen in the tower, a printed sheet at the desk or a page in the CRM. A complete entry shows the time, the customer, the vehicle of interest, the salesperson expecting them and anything the desk needs to know in advance.

The board only works if it matches the CRM. Appointments that live in one person’s phone, or times that were changed verbally and never updated, produce a greeter who has no idea who just walked in.

Why it matters for a sales manager

The board is how a store prepares. A vehicle pulled up front, a trade folder started, a manager who knows a difficult conversation is coming at four: none of that happens for an appointment nobody could see. It is also the simplest daily check a manager has, since walking past it tells you how much real traffic is scheduled before the day starts.
