Action receipt

The record of something software did on the store’s behalf: what happened, to whom, when, and under whose authority.

An action receipt is the paper trail for automated work. A useful one names the action taken, the customer it touched, the exact content sent or written, the time, the permission it was acting under and the person who granted that permission. It reads like a log entry a manager can understand without help.

Receipts belong where the rest of the customer history lives, not in a separate console nobody opens. A record of an automated text that does not sit next to the rest of that customer’s thread will be missed by whoever picks up the conversation next.

Why it matters for a sales manager

When a customer says they were told something, you need to know what was actually sent. Receipts also make automation reviewable: a week of them tells you whether the workflow is doing what you approved, and they give a rep picking up the conversation enough context to avoid repeating a message the customer already received.
