Questions
What should a sales follow-up text contain?
The customer's first name, the rep's name and the company, one specific proposal such as a held time or a quote ready to go over, and one question the customer can answer with a word. It should fit in one message and give the customer a way out.
How soon after a call should the text go out?
Before the customer forgets the call. A confirmation text right after the call, and a reminder the morning of the appointment, are the two that matter most.
Do customers need to consent to texts?
A customer who gave a mobile number and asked to be texted has usually consented to texts about their own request. Marketing texts need express consent and an opt-out. This is general information, not legal advice.
