Visit unconfirmed.
An appointment sits on the board, but nobody has heard back from the customer to confirm that they are still coming.
"Let me check with my husband and get back to you before Saturday."
What it sounds like. Synthetic example. Why it matters
Unconfirmed appointments are the difference between a planned day and a surprise. They fill the board without filling the lot, they lead managers to staff around visits that were never really booked, and they are the population where tomorrow's no-shows are hiding. The useful thing about the label is that it points at a window where a manager can still act, rather than at a result nobody can change.
What to do next
Work them first thing, ahead of new leads. Call before you text, because a voice answers questions a message cannot, and offer a different time instead of asking again for the same one. If you cannot reach the customer, keep the slot on the board but do not build the day around it, and make sure the vehicle is not also being promised to someone else.
How to coach it
Stop coaching the no-show and start coaching the day before it. Pull an appointment that was never confirmed and walk back through the conversation with the rep: where the hesitation was, what was skipped in the set, whether a confirmation ever went out. Agree on one thing they will do differently at the moment of the yes.
In Pinpoint

Questions about this signal
Is an unconfirmed appointment the same as a no-show?
No. It means nobody has heard back yet. A signal does not establish whether a customer attended.
How many times should we try to confirm?
Reach out on both channels once each, spaced out, and vary the time of day. Repeating the same message at the same hour rarely gets a different answer.
Should unconfirmed appointments stay on the board?
Keep them, but do not plan the day around them. Knowing which ones are soft is the reason to keep the list.
